Rubber Gaskets

Rubber gaskets can also be referred to as Flat Washer Seals, RUBBER SPACER, or washer rubber ring.

Hardness: The Shore A hardness ranges from 25 to 95 degrees and can be customized according to specific needs.

Applicable Temperature Range: It ranges from -40°C to 120°C. For special rubber materials, this range can be extended to from -80°C to 300°C.

Characteristics: It has good flexibility, sealing performance, shock absorption ability, and electrical insulation property. It can effectively fill the gaps.

Application Scenarios: It is suitable for various scenarios such as pipeline connections, bathroom fittings, and the combination of mechanical components. It is commonly seen in industries like food, drinking water, bathroom fixtures, sanitary ware, automobiles, gas, electronics and electrical appliances, chemical engineering, aerospace, hardware machinery, and pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Its functions include buffering and shock absorption, sealing to prevent leakage, enhancing the connection stability, protecting components from corrosion and wear, and ensuring the normal operation of equipment.

The main materials of rubber gaskets include: silicone rubber gaskets, nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) gaskets, ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) rubber gaskets, peroxide-cured EPDM rubber gaskets, fluororubber (FKM) gaskets, and other rubber gaskets.

Silicone rubber has outstanding high and low temperature resistance. It can maintain good elastic performance within the temperature range of -70°C to +260°C. It is resistant to ozone and weather aging, making it suitable as a sealing gasket in bathroom fixtures, automobiles, and thermal machinery. It is non-toxic and can be used to make thermal insulation, electrical insulation products, and medical rubber products. Meanwhile, it also has excellent properties such as water resistance, flame retardancy, high temperature resistance, electrical conductivity, wear resistance, and oil resistance. Profiled Gaskets

There is a wide variety of profiled gaskets. Among them, the relatively standardized ED ring is one of many industrial seals. As a special seal for pneumatic and hydraulic connectors such as pipe connectors, hydraulic plugs, and transition connectors, it has a better sealing effect than the traditional O-ring. This elastomeric seal is used as an axial static seal, applied to threaded oil ports and screw ends. The cross-section remains almost constant even under high pressure.

Advantages compared with general O-rings: small mechanical deformation of the cross-section, no relative movement during the pressure cycle, maintaining excellent sealing performance for a long time, and the working pressure can reach up to 60 MPa.
