The Typhoon Danais has caused heavy rain in Xiamen recently.
Affected by the peripheral circulation of Typhoon Danas, it is expected that there will be a heavy rain event in Xiamen from the 9th to the 12th. The strongest precipitation period occurs on the 10th and 11th, with a total rainfall of 100 to 140 millimeters across the city, with some areas reaching up to 180 millimeters. The maximum hourly rainfall intensity is 40 to 60 millimeters. All of you should pay attention to preventing possible secondary disasters such as urban and rural waterlogging, landslides, and mudslides caused by the heavy rain. During the precipitation, roads will be slippery, and pay attention to its impact on road traffic and outdoor activities.

Previously, Typhoon Danas caused heavy rain in Simei District of Xiamen, resulting in significant losses. Other districts in Xiamen were not affected.
