Rubber knowledge: Rubber classification
Rubber is classified into three major categories: natural rubber, synthetic rubber and special rubber. Next, let's introduce it to you in detail:
1.Natural rubber belongs to natural polymer elastomers and is the earliest type of rubber widely used by humans.
2. Synthetic rubber is a high-molecular elastomer made through chemical synthesis methods. According to the differences in monomer composition, structure and performance, it can be classified into styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), butadiene rubber (BR), isoprene rubber (IR), chloroprene rubber (CR), and the emerging synthetic rubber in recent years: Hydrogenated nitrile rubber (HNBR), acrylate rubber (ACM), chlorinated ether rubber (CO/ECO), etc.
3. Special rubber has unique properties and is used in harsh environments. It can be classified into nitrile rubber (NBR), ethylene propylene rubber (EPDM), silicone rubber (SIL), fluorine rubber (FKM), polyurethane rubber (PU), etc.
Our rubber materials are sourced from world-class material suppliers, such as ARLANXEO, ZEON, NANTEX, JSR, Mitsui Chemicals, DUPONT, DAIKIN, DOWSIL, etc.
In the future, I will gradually share with you the characteristics of each type of rubber and so on.
